Photographer. Artist. Writer. Educator.

Dawn M. Wayand has been capturing moments in time around the world with her camera since 2001. While she branched into shooting headshots, portraits, and fashion portfolio work in New York City in 2013, she will always remain committed to capturing the world’s beauty through her lens no matter what subject stands before her.

Beyond shooting, Dawn also teaches numerous workshops to photographers - from budding to advanced skill levels, in topics such as studio lighting, studio and outdoor portraiture, creative shoots for model portfolios and fashion, self-portraiture, composition, iPhone photography, exhibiting work and so much more.

Dawn has written nearly 100 feature educational articles, tutorials, eBooks, and gear reviews for online resources such as the 42West|Adorama Learning Center, B&H Photo Explora, Tether Tools, and Digital Photography School websites.

In addition to her photography background, Dawn has spent a great deal of time as an artist painting in her home studio in Yonkers, New York. Her mediums span a spectrum of drawings, watercolors, acrylics, oils, and mixed media. To see and shop some of her artwork, visit https://art.dawnmwayand.com.
