Photographer. Artist. Writer. Educator.

Dawn M. Wayand has been capturing moments in time around the world since 2001. While she has now branched into shooting headshots, portraits, and fashion in NYC since 2013, she will always be committed to capturing the beauty of the world through her lens no matter what subject stands before her.

Beyond shooting, Dawn currently teaches numerous workshops to photographers - from budding to advanced in skill level - in topics such as studio lighting, studio and outdoor portraiture, creative shoots for model portfolios and fashion, composition, iPhone photography, exhibiting work and much more.

Dawn has written nearly 100 feature educational articles, tutorials, and gear reviews for online resources such as the Adorama Learning Center, B&H Photo Explora, and Digital Photography School websites.

In addition to her photography background, Dawn spends a great deal of time as an artist painting in her home studio in Bronxville, New York. Her mediums take the spectrum of drawings, watercolor, acrylics, oils and mixed media. To see and shop some of her artwork, visit https://art.dawnmwayand.com.
